Well. He's back. That goddamn small elf has reappeared. You really can't escape, can you? It waves a golden envelope at you, and as soon as you open it the familiar flurry of snowflakes blasting you directly in the face as the letter unfolds to reveal its contents.

...strange. There's no fancy invitation this time? Instead, all you'll find is a sheet of paper with the word "Boo." written on it.

The moment you register the words (whether by willingly reading the letter or as an attempt to placate the elf attempting to bite you), the snowflakes encase you in a cyclone of winter-y chilliness. You feel as though you're shoved inside a freezer, like the kind you'd find at a supermarket, and everything around you goes dark as you slip and slide your way down, up, side to side and upside down.

For once, you aren't dumped off in a snowbank. Your arrival to the village is almost pleasant as you're gently set on your feet at the top of the valley, buildings appearing before your eyes. They unravel and unfold, popping up like a picture book and springing to life as the sound of music and jingle bells fill the air. Behind you appears a mountain perfect for climbing, but perhaps the village ahead is far more enticing.

As you enter the valley and leave your troubles behind, you'll find your attire soon will match the vibe. Some of you may find yourselves in the ugliest Christmas sweaters known to man. Some of you may be lucky and get away with cuter winter fits to keep yourselves cozy. But worry not, there are still plenty of shops for your perusal.

Since you're already here, why don't you take a look around?

As you turn, you may notice the familiar sign stating murder is prohibited, as usual. Wow, this sign is looking a little worse for the wear by now. Just how long has this been around? Ah, well, never mind. Enjoy the festivities!

❄️ The Mall
Ah yes. A special hell on earth, Christmastime at the shopping center. Nestled in the center of the village is a large multi-shop complex with a constant stream of shoppers flitting about. Money isn't a problem here and you'll find a silver credit card somewhere on your person. Talk about a Christmas miracle. Inside the mall is everything imaginable, just in time to buy gifts for everyone on your holiday list. If you can think it, you can find it. Head on over to the food court for a little afternoon pick-me-up (any sort of fast food place you can think of) and get ready to shop 'til you drop! But if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for…?

Well, drop on by Santa's workshop! You can't miss it...but too bad it looks like jolly old Saint Nick's stepped out for a while. That's okay! There's still a camera set up and all sorts of fun and silly winter props for a cute little photo op for you and your friends. But maybe don't linger for too long...the more time you spend in Santa's chair, the higher the chances are you'll find yourself sporting a full, white beard.

❄️ The Island
On the outskirts of town, opposite of the mountain, you'll find a small sandy beach and an icy ocean before you. Several boats are docked near the shore, ready for you to take them sailing off to an island you can just barely see in the distance. As you sail closer to the island, you'll find it's much larger than anticipated, and you aren't alone. A variety of small toy-like occupants can be found once you reach the short, curious and uncertain about your arrival. There's a spotted elephant, a water gun that shoots grape jelly, a cowboy that rides an ostrich, a train with square wheels and an assortment of other misfits. They'll clamor around you, wondering if you're here to visit or if, perhaps, you'll be kind enough to bring them back to the village and give them a new home.

Spending time on this island will instill feelings of childlike wonder, nostalgia, and a little bit of longing. Maybe you'll even find yourself in the middle of some self-reflection, willing to share a secret or two with those around you. There's nothing wrong with you, is there? Don't worry. Someone out there probably loves you.

❄️ Winter Sports
Maybe you don't go to the island and you stick closer to the mountain. That's okay. There's plenty of things to do on this side of the village. For one thing, you’ll find a small stand nestled among some trees holding all sorts of winter items including skis, snowboards, snow mobiles, toboggans, and sleds. The snow is fresh and the hills are alive with the sound of laughter. Or screams. Depending if you know how to ski or not. There are a few plowed trails heading into the small surrounding mountains, little paths and a few walkways that wind around and around toward the highest peak. Try not to get lost on your way up, and watch out for the abominable snowman.

❄️ The Party
You skipped 90% of these prompts to get here, didn't you? Respectable. Powerful. We all know why you're here. Even if you don't actually know, other guests will likely be able to catch you up to speed and mention the holiday party for everyone invited. Unlike years of the past where the party's been hosted in a mansion, this year you'll find yourself ushered down a slippery slope and brought to a frosty blue door. Knock once, twice, three times and soon you'll be treated to a large, icy cavern-esque area. Despite the chilly appearance, the temperature's just right for comfort and still gives you an excuse to snuggle up close to whoever's closest. There are halls that are decked with boughs of holly leading off to rooms filled with fireplaces, games, food and more. Christmas music echoes through the halls, and just like last time should you require anything special the staff will answer every beck and call.

In the center of the bar resides a massive Christmas tree, along with boxes of ornaments should you wish to try your hand at decorating. If you watch long enough, you may even see some of them floating on their own as streaks of frost wash over the branches.

...but don't think you're safe just because it's a party. It's mistletoe season, baby! Similar to last year, the plant truly seems to have a honing device attached as it persists the more you resist. It can, and will, appear at random in places you might not expect, and often times it will show up at inconvenient moments. Unfortunately, it's not just the mistletoe conspiring against you. The garland hanging in the halls will slither down on occasion to tie you to another person, ushering you both under a sprig of mistletoe and binding you until you comply. Every now and then, a patch of ice will appear underfoot, sending you careening into another person or two with the hopes your lips will collide. And even some of the sweet treats appear to be special, filling you with a burst of affection you just have to get out.

Or maybe you've had the great fortune to avoid all of these pitfalls to enjoy the party! You're free to mingle and jingle. Eat, drink, and be merry and bright...but do keep in mind that if two people are together and avoid the mistletoe for too long, you will find yourselves in a frosty, snowglobe-like barrier for one hour or until a kiss is shared. Dealer's choice.

Happy holidays!

For those of you keeping track (which, why would you? You're busy living your own lives), you may come to realize that nearly a year has passed since you've been accosted by snowflakes. You might be looking forward to the seemingly annual holiday festivities that will eventually come your way. Hell, you might even just be some completely random stranger who has no idea what's going on but are about to experience something weird. But the thing is...well. It's too early for that, so it might come as a real shock to you to suddenly be approached by a small elf in what appears to be a zombie costume. It waves a golden envelope at you, and as soon as you open it—ah, yes, there's the flurry of snowflakes blasting you directly in the face as the letter unfolds to reveal its contents.

The moment you register the words (whether by willingly reading the letter or as an attempt to placate the zombie-elf attempting to bite you), the snowflakes encase you in a cyclone of winter-y chilliness. You feel as though you're shoved inside a freezer, like the kind you'd find at a supermarket, and everything around you goes dark as you slip and slide your way down, up, side to side and upside down.

Unlike the usual holiday festivities, you find yourself dumped out in a dark, silent forest. The fog creeps around you, and the only sign of light appears to be coming from the large house ahead. As you look around and gain your bearings, a few things begin to stand out. For one thing, the forest isn't quite as dark as you initially thought. Several jack o'lanterns and white Christmas lights have been placed strategically around the immediate area to give you a bit of light, leading toward a small clearing housing a cul-de-sac of decorated houses. All around you, you can hear the sound of chattering and music, and the smell of something sweet and something like fire fills the air. And most importantly?

You are definitely in a costume of some sort. Is it something you'd pick out yourself? Is it something you're unfamiliar with? What a good question...but keep in mind if you try to remove it, you'll find yourself back in costume after a short period of time. It might even be an entirely different outfit to see if that suits you better.

Since you're already here, why don't you take a look around?

Though please take notice of the large, hand-painted sign directly in front of you that kindly states that murder is prohibited, as usual.

🎃 Spooky Hayrides
The age-old question of "where do these horses keep coming from" is relevant once again. For those of you who wish to explore the forest a little more rather than join the party right away, you won't have to wait long before the sound of bells reaches your ears as a horse-drawn carriage arrives. Are these horses...? They look a little skeletal. But like your traditional Christmas horses, these ones are just as friendly. Climb aboard and have a seat amongst the bales of hay for a ghost tour through the woods. It seems to be a self-guided one though, because the horses seem to know the way and the ghosts you're seeing? Why, they may look familiar as ghosts of friends lost, regrets, or different choices made. Don't worry, they won't follow you...for too long.

🎃 Trick or Treat
If you follow the path down to the cul-de-sac, you'll find a perfect little neighborhood with brightly lit houses, and several ghostly apparitions dressed in fun and silly costumes. A large stack of candy buckets sit on a table near the first house, and chalk drawings on the sidewalk point you in the right direction. March on up to the door, ring the bell, and give your best "trick or treat!" Some houses will be nice and give you copious amounts of your favorite sweets, but others may have different ideas such as dousing you with a bucket of water, candy that turns your whole mouth black, glitter bombs that explode upon contact, and other harmless pranks. But never fear! There are plenty of houses to try your luck and see how you score. But if you'd rather play it safe...

🎃 Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze
At the other end of the cul-de-sac there are two fields. The pumpkin patch is filled with large, brightly colored pumpkins ready to be harvested and carved into whatever creative design you can think of. All of the appropriate tools such as carving knives, spoons, lights and paint are spread out on various tables to help you bring your vision to life! But you can't work on an empty stomach, can you? Feel free to browse the various snack carts as well filled with small treats such as apple cider, popcorn, and build-your-own charcuterie stations.

For the less artistically inclined and more adventurous, why not give the corn maze a try? Take a friend or two and disappear among the stalks, winding your way through every twist and turn to try and find your way out. The longer you stay in the maze though, the more it begins to feel as though someone's following you. No matter where you look, you'll always be alone, and yet you can't quite shake off the feeling.

Just ignore the random passerbys with their chainsaws. They won't be that interested in you...unless you look them in the eye. Then you might wanna run. Good luck!

🎃 The Party
What's Halloween without a party? After all, you ended up at the haunted mansion for a reason. It isn't hard to catch on that most of the action's inside the house, and you'll find that it's relatively easy to walk up the dirt path and cross through the threshold past the spiderwebs and dust. The inside is just as decorated as one might expect, though no two areas are quite the same. The music here is louder, but not enough to drown out conversation, and everywhere you look there are rooms to explore. Board games and decks of cards can be found throughout the house, along with spare paper and markers to make your own games/write up rules for drinking games/etc. Fingerfoods of all kinds can be found on different tables and buffets throughout the house, though if you have special requests the usual staff (dressed in their own costumes) are more than happy to oblige.

Additionally, there are several open bars with all kinds of beverages of both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic variety. Specifically, there are also lots of specialties, though you might want to be careful since all drink effects are on.

Several of the rooms have also been boobytrapped with silly pranks, and should you fall victim to one of these you may hear the sound of laughter and see a faint vision of your ghost host in his own costume before he disappears from sight.

Most notably, there's a room up in the attic of the house with a question mark and an X spraypainted on the door. Should you choose to enter it, you'll find yourself in a simulation of some of your worst fears and nightmares. Maybe you shouldn't go alone, hm? You'll have to face your fears head-on in order to escape.

...is that it? It seems as if you're safe from the ever-dreaded mistletoe for once, so have fun mingling, gorging yourself on delicious googies, and filling the night with tricks and treats. Happy hauntings!

(And don't forget, winter's coming...)

By now, some of you may very well expect this. In fact, for those of you who were in attendance last year, you’ll soon find yourself lovingly agitated by a small elf who waves a golden envelope at you. As you open it, a flurry of snowflakes blasts you in the face and the letter unfolds to reveal its contents.

Then again, even those of you who are new will find yourselves with a few elves underfoot, biting and slamming their little fists into your shoes until you read the letter. The moment you register the words, however, the snowflakes begin to turn around, almost as if they have a mind of their own as they soon encase you in a cyclone of winter-y chilliness. You feel as though you're shoved inside a freezer, like the kind you'd find at a supermarket, and everything around you goes dark as you slip and slide your way down, up, side to side and upside down.

This year you're dumped right into a pile of snow, but worry not! There's a small outlet mall consisting of four shops for all of your winter clothing needs and beyond that down the slope of a small hill you'll see this year's location. It's a different village than the year before, but you can feel the magic in the air everywhere you turn. Tis the season and all of that, and it seems like the brightly-lit buildings and cobblestone paths are welcoming to everyone who wishes to explore.

Though please take notice of the large, twinkling sign that kindly states that murder is prohibited, as usual.

❄️ Sleigh Rides
Literally where do these horses keep coming from. Who's in charge of all of this? Oh well, perhaps it doesn't matter. For those of you who wish to tour the village or simply don't feel like walking, the sound of jingle bells will soon reach your ears as a horse-drawn carriage arrives. Climb aboard and settle in for a cozy ride over the river and through the woods. The horses are friendly, and while seating might be a little cramped it’s a good excuse to snuggle up to someone, don’t you think?

This year, however, in addition to the horses there are a few other friends helping out. Mind the beaks.

❄️ Christmas Market
An upgraded Christmas market is available for everyone to peruse, and while money isn't necessary for goods the shopkeepers will ask you to trade favors or holiday cheer in exchange for their wares. Whether that's singing Christmas carols, helping to bake fresh cookies, decorating small Christmas trees, etc, there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason or hard limit to these tasks. The shops themselves sell everything imaginable, just in time to buy gifts for everyone on your holiday list. If you can think it, you can find it. There are kiosks serving all kinds of winter treats and drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic in variety), but this year there are also warm, savory foods such as bratwursts, sliders, mac and cheese, tamales, stews and more. There’s no limit to what magic can do, even for the casual window shopper. But if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for…?

❄️ Santa’s Workshop...sort of.
Actually, it kind of looks like a bounce house with a sign that calls itself Santa's Workshop, but that's okay. Entering the playful exterior proves that the floor is not quite as bouncy as you'd think and the inside is much bigger than the outside. Should you be brave enough to wander inside, you’ll find a few rooms for arts and crafts to build your own gifts. There’s art studios, pottery wheels, power tools, fabrics, sewing machines, instruments and more. Scratch that creative itch and let your imagination run wild! There also appears to be a machine in the corner, programmed to dial into any universe tied to any guest for all of those special-order items you may wish to gift. Plug in the place, scour the catalogue of items and voila! Hot and ready and wrapped in a bow.

❄️ Winter Sports
Toward the south end of the village is a large ice rink with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the middle. Skates of all sizes are available for anyone to borrow and the ice is always clean and smooth no matter what time of day you come by. Just beyond that, you’ll find a small stand nestled among some trees holding all sorts of winter items including skis, snowboards, snow mobiles, toboggans, and sleds. The snow is fresh and the hills are alive with the sound of laughter. Or screams. Depending if you know how to ski or not. There are a few plowed trails heading into the mountains as well leading toward icy caverns for exploration, and the forested area around the village is home to all sorts of small woodland creatures. And bears, probably. Become one with nature as you wish...just don't freeze.

❄️ The Party
But we all know why you're here. Even if you don't actually know, other guests will likely be able to catch you up to speed and mention the holiday party for everyone invited. Hosted at the largest house in the village, there are rooms with fireplaces, games, food and more. Christmas music echoes through the halls, and just like last time should you require anything special the staff will answer every beck and call. Icicles cling to the outside of the house in beautiful patterns, frost drawn across the windows spreading messages of holiday cheer and the occasional game of tic tac toe. The garden out back appears to be more of a Christmas tree farm, boxes of ornaments set in accessible locations for those who wish to do a little bit of decorating.

This year there is also a small shed-like area...a mystery shack, if you will, given the question mark spraypainted on the door. Should you choose to enter it, you may find yourselves in a simulation that's familiar whether that's familiar to your home or familiar from the place you resided in for a few months.

...you didn't think you escaped the ever-dreaded (or anticipated) mistletoe, did you? This year, the plant truly seems to have a honing device attached as it persists the more you resist. It can, and will, appear at random in places you might not expect, and often times it will show up at inconvenient moments. That’s a little troublesome, but worry not! You’ll probably come up with some way to avoid it if you really want to, right?

But do keep in mind if two people are together and avoid it for too long, you will find yourselves stuck together for one hour or until a kiss is shared. Dealer's choice.

Happy holidays!

Ah, yes. Third verse, same as the first! For some of you, the sudden onslaught of crystalized, chilly snowflakes may come as a surprise as you’re swept up in an icy sort of cyclone. Some of you may have already been bracing yourselves as the storm set upon you. But regardless of whatever group you’re in, you’ll soon find yourself being lifted off of your feet and tipping forward, free-falling through a whimsical, colorful interdimensional space. A door opens before you, and soon you tumble out of…a tree?

Yes. That’s right. You find yourself falling out of the trunk of a tree at the top of a snowy hill, looking down at a small village adorned with twinkling lights and the sound of music in the air. Too bad you can’t turn back now. The door has swung closed and all you are faced with is a painting of a Christmas tree.

Right then. Best to explore! There are plenty of places you can go and things to do while you’re here, but the proprietor of this village kindly asks that you do not resort to murder. For real. This is a place for winter fun and not bloodshed, and should anyone resort to violence they will find a large pile of snow falling straight on their head to cool off. There’s a little something for everyone, and all it takes is a little bit of adventure to find your holiday magic.

❄️Skiing, snowboarding, and toboggans, oh my
Even before you make your way down the hill and toward the village, you’ll find a building nestled among some trees holding all sorts of winter items including skis, snowboards, snow mobiles, toboggans, and sleds. The snow is fresh and the hills are alive with the sound of laughter. Challenge your friends to a race or two, or just take a test run down one of the many slopes scattered around.

❄️Sleigh Rides
For those of you who don’t want to walk down to the village, the sound of jingle bells will soon reach your ears as a horse-drawn carriage arrives. Climb aboard and settle in for a cozy ride over the river and through the woods. The horses are friendly, and while seating might be a little cramped it’s a good excuse to snuggle up to someone, don’t you think?

❄️ Christmas Market
Upon reaching the village, you’ll find that several of the buildings are lit up and decorated with holiday decor galore. There are kiosks serving all kinds of winter treats and drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic in variety), and the best part is they’re free! The doors to the shops are open for all, inviting you in to browse the holiday wares available. You can find just about anything here for that perfect Christmas gift. There’s no limit to what magic can do, even for the casual window shopper. But if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for…?

❄️ Santa’s Workshop
Ho ho ho? Oh ho! On the outskirts of the village sits a large, multistory building. Should you be brave enough to wander inside, you’ll find all sorts of rooms for arts and crafts to build your own gifts. There’s art studios, pottery wheels, power tools, fabrics, sewing machines, instruments and more. Scratch that creative itch and let your imagination run wild!

❄️ Ice skating
In the center of the village is a large ice rink with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the middle. Skates of all sizes are available for anyone to borrow and the ice is always clean and smooth no matter what time of day you come by. Show off some fancy footwork…or just laugh at the poor, unfortunate souls who can’t quite stand still.

❄️The Party
Or maybe you’re only interested in catching up with people you know? As is tradition, there’s always a party for the social type. Hosted at the largest house in the village, there are rooms with fireplaces, games, food and more. There’s an indoor pool in one room with a water slide for those of you feeling a little more daring, and in another room there’s a large projection screen playing countless holiday classics. The music is just as loud here, and just like last time should you require anything special the staff and their assistants will answer every beck and call.

But it wouldn’t be a holiday party without the time-honored tradition of mistletoe, now would it? Despite having more space than ever, the longer you’re around the less likely you are to escape unscathed. The tricky little plant can appear at random in places you might not expect, and often times it will show up at inconvenient moments. That’s a little troublesome, but worry not! You’ll probably come up with some way to avoid it if you really want to, right?

Good tidings we bring to you and your kin. Embrace this moment and make some new memories.

You wake to the sound of waves lapping gently against the shore, the wind gently rustling through palm trees, and the cries of seagulls overhead. The scent of sea salt and tropical flowers is in the air. Wander outside or look out the window of the room you have awoken in, and you'll see that you are on a beautiful tropical island.

Good morning, everyone.

The room you've woken up in is decorated exactly to your tastes - it is the sort of home someone might have happily designed for you if perhaps you had commissioned them to make the perfect vacation getaway for you. This is true inside and out - the yard of each house seems to be decorated to each occupant's tastes, too.

Inside your vacation home, easily found, is a brochure advertising a four-day, three night island getaway. Tucked inside the pages are boarding passes from Dodo Airlines with your names on them. One boarding pass, which indicates that you would have landed on the island on Friday morning, has already been marked off as if used; the other, indicating that you will board a plane to leave on Monday evening, is clear.

The brochure includes a map of the island, so don't worry about getting lost! There are beaches, hills, fields of wildflowers, lush fruit orchards, rushing waterfalls, lazily winding rivers, a general store, a tailor's shop, and even a museum with a coffee shop on its premises. The island itself seems to have areas that are created with wildly different aesthetics, too, that all somehow seem to work together as you move from place to place. Fairy forest? Sure! Giant treehouse? Why not? Froggy shrine? You bet. Each of the various themed areas have restaurants and shops that fit their aesthetic, so if you'd like to dine or take home a souvenir, you're more than welcome to.

The following events are listed in the brochure:

FRIDAY

Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.

Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.

Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:

To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.

Be sure to @ mmc to connect with others as you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.

You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!

For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)

Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...

...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

Wherever you are, whoever you are, one minute you’re at home minding your own business and the next you’ll see a shower of sparkles before you blink and find yourself teleported elsewhere.

The elsewhere, it seems, is an open grounds lined with stalls, pathways and gardens. Lanterns light up the pathways in soft glowing oranges and pinks, and even though it’s evening the weather is warm and enjoyable for a fun summer festival.

As you set off to explore, you’ll find that there are countless stalls with every type of treat you can imagine from a variety of cultures (including some from your own home worlds, strangely), all of which smell delicious and enticing. There are other stalls available with different carnival games as well. Go ahead and give it your all! Win a prize for that special someone, or just keep trying out of sheer stubbornness. Other stalls seem to be selling wares such as clothing, household items, flowers, and other things that can be given away as gifts. It seems that every time you look around, a new stall opens, almost as if this festival is responding to your every wish.

Speaking of wishes, there’s a small cluster of bamboo trees nearby as well, tables set up with baskets of arts and crafts supplies to write your wishes on the colorful paper and tie them to a branch. It’s a sweet thought, no?

And of course, what’s a festival without fireworks? Every now and then fireworks will light up the night sky, bursts of color in fun shapes such as stars, hearts, faces of people you know, whatever! Sparklers and bubble wands can also be found to play with throughout the evening near the viewing gardens. Flowers bloom and cover the area, though the paths lead to several small alcove-like areas and gazebos for those of you who wish to have a little romantic privacy. No matter where you are though, you’ll always be able to see the starry night sky.

Do try to play along and enjoy yourself for the evening. It’s only when the last firework bursts several hours later that you can actually leave anyway. Have fun!

[ooc: you know the drill, past mg characters from any of our past games, please don't make me list them again but go nuts.]

Wherever you are, whoever you are, you'll likely find yourself blinking one moment and teleporting in a flurry of snowflakes the next. Luckily for you, there's no murder this time! (Probably.)

Rather, you'll hear Christmas carols aplenty as you approach a winter castle, snow lightly falling and various paths leading to gardens filled with still-blooming flowers (how.) and lit topiary displays.

Upon entering the castle, you'll find it's brightly lit and decorated...welcome to the party! Frost lightly dusts the walls and some nearby surfaces and guests will find there are halls and floors aplenty to explore. There are rooms filled with plush chairs and fireplaces for those looking for something cozier, rooms filled with all kinds of games and toys, and naturally there's a large ballroom prime for dancing. Spread through you'll find tables of snacks, full-course meals, drinks, desserts, and even champagne towers. Are you looking for something specific? Simply ask a member of the staff. Watch your step though! Their assistants really are doing their best to help, and the jingling bell may be too faint to hear if you aren't paying attention.

It seems as though you've all been invited to a wonderful holiday party for no reason at all...but there is one thing amiss...or, should I say...amistletoe?

Pinned up on every doorway is a sprig of fresh mistletoe, decorated with bright red bows and dustings of frost. And sure, perhaps it's easy just to avoid the doorways if you want to be a spoilsport. But should you avoid it for too long, it will seem as though the mistletoe is following you, almost as if some asshole is hiding out and purposefully trailing behind to keep it dangling over your head.

Oh. And did I mention you can't leave the castle grounds until you play along? Pucker up.

[ooc: this can be any past murdergame characters y'all, go nuts.

Well. Here you are! Sun's out, guns out, enjoy your nice beach day! With the ocean at a comfortable temperature for swimming and not a cloud in the sky, you can frolic in the waves all you want or you can make your home on the sand. Seashells, crabs, and other small sea creatures can be found, and there's even a pier and a boardwalk nearby with a few little shops, food stands, and even a small carnival.

Have fun!
