Wherever you are, whoever you are, you'll likely find yourself blinking one moment and teleporting in a flurry of snowflakes the next. Luckily for you, there's no murder this time! (Probably.)

Rather, you'll hear Christmas carols aplenty as you approach a winter castle, snow lightly falling and various paths leading to gardens filled with still-blooming flowers (how.) and lit topiary displays.

Upon entering the castle, you'll find it's brightly lit and decorated...welcome to the party! Frost lightly dusts the walls and some nearby surfaces and guests will find there are halls and floors aplenty to explore. There are rooms filled with plush chairs and fireplaces for those looking for something cozier, rooms filled with all kinds of games and toys, and naturally there's a large ballroom prime for dancing. Spread through you'll find tables of snacks, full-course meals, drinks, desserts, and even champagne towers. Are you looking for something specific? Simply ask a member of the staff. Watch your step though! Their assistants really are doing their best to help, and the jingling bell may be too faint to hear if you aren't paying attention.

It seems as though you've all been invited to a wonderful holiday party for no reason at all...but there is one thing amiss...or, should I say...amistletoe?

Pinned up on every doorway is a sprig of fresh mistletoe, decorated with bright red bows and dustings of frost. And sure, perhaps it's easy just to avoid the doorways if you want to be a spoilsport. But should you avoid it for too long, it will seem as though the mistletoe is following you, almost as if some asshole is hiding out and purposefully trailing behind to keep it dangling over your head.

Oh. And did I mention you can't leave the castle grounds until you play along? Pucker up.

I find it hard to believe that she would force someone to help her with her work - she seems more likely to power through it on her own to me.

Also, I do not think she cares very much for guns.

[He keeps staring... but then slowly reaches up, fingers pressing into the hollow space above his orbital bone. This causes that fake eye of his to pop out again. It's just going to fall on the ground if no one catches it.

Is this an underhanded method to try and distract Flayn? yes.]

[Flayn keeps staring at him and is very briefly seized with the urge to kick the eye away, but keeps her gaze on his face instead. Kicking it would be unkind.]

[Well damn, that was his trump card!! He looks away, making a soft noise of displeasure.]

... It's possible Beauregard stole it from me because she was concerned about my injuries and wanted to make me let her help me.

[It probably would have worked if she hadn't spent most of her time post-CRAU in Ghost City. Oh well.

With his answer, she nods once, then ducks down to pick up the eye, wipe it off on her sleeve, and hold it back out to him.]

That sounds more accurate. She is quite persistent in her kindness. Stubborn, perhaps.

[She knows from experience! Beau just wouldn't let her die during the murdergame!! ...but she says it fondly.]

[He makes a face when she rubs it on her sleeve, but takes it back, thought he doesn't put it back in. All she did was make it have both floor and sleeve lint on it.]

Mm. Though she and I are a lot more alike than you might think.

[There is so much one could read into this statement, though Ogata certainly isn't going to elaborate. The tone he says it with seems to suggest he's trying to insult Beau by comparing her to him, though.]

[Flayn raises a brow at that. He doesn't seem like he's going to elaborate, but she's just going to look at him like she expects him to.]

[Stop!!!! Why must you be his ultimate foil!!! Why can't you just let him be ominously vague. He runs a hand over his hair.]

... Yes. I did do some jobs with her, so we ended up talking a little.

[Jobs, plural! Flayn lights up at that. Honestly, if he was able to work with her, that sort of sounds like he became friends with her in his weird Ogata way.]
