Shokudaikiri-san quickly put a stop to it before the others could attempt to put Sakana-san out of his misery. He was also quick to inform the rest of us koi meat is rather tough to eat and hardly enough for one person let alone the group of them trying to find out....
Sakana-san seems certainly grateful to be saved before their untimely end. I'm not sure how much of it is just being glad to be out of a bowl of sake and in clean water though.
