Summer Festival in the MGU

Wherever you are, whoever you are, one minute you’re at home minding your own business and the next you’ll see a shower of sparkles before you blink and find yourself teleported elsewhere.
The elsewhere, it seems, is an open grounds lined with stalls, pathways and gardens. Lanterns light up the pathways in soft glowing oranges and pinks, and even though it’s evening the weather is warm and enjoyable for a fun summer festival.
As you set off to explore, you’ll find that there are countless stalls with every type of treat you can imagine from a variety of cultures (including some from your own home worlds, strangely), all of which smell delicious and enticing. There are other stalls available with different carnival games as well. Go ahead and give it your all! Win a prize for that special someone, or just keep trying out of sheer stubbornness. Other stalls seem to be selling wares such as clothing, household items, flowers, and other things that can be given away as gifts. It seems that every time you look around, a new stall opens, almost as if this festival is responding to your every wish.
Speaking of wishes, there’s a small cluster of bamboo trees nearby as well, tables set up with baskets of arts and crafts supplies to write your wishes on the colorful paper and tie them to a branch. It’s a sweet thought, no?
And of course, what’s a festival without fireworks? Every now and then fireworks will light up the night sky, bursts of color in fun shapes such as stars, hearts, faces of people you know, whatever! Sparklers and bubble wands can also be found to play with throughout the evening near the viewing gardens. Flowers bloom and cover the area, though the paths lead to several small alcove-like areas and gazebos for those of you who wish to have a little romantic privacy. No matter where you are though, you’ll always be able to see the starry night sky.
Do try to play along and enjoy yourself for the evening. It’s only when the last firework bursts several hours later that you can actually leave anyway. Have fun!
[ooc: you know the drill, past mg characters from any of our past games, please don't make me list them again but go nuts.]

Ooh, there's quite a lot of flavors! Which are you going to try?
no subject
but then, practically murmured like he's very heavily considering it, ]
Strawberry shortcake...
no subject
Ooh, that sounds like a good choice.
[the employee at the stall begins putting together their order! there's a strawberry shortcake donut...]
no subject
It's just good to be able to eat this kind of thing without it being linked to indulging now.
no subject
That's true! You can eat whatever you'd like, just because you want to, not because you have to. That's much better!
no subject
When you say it like that you really do sound like a glutton...
no subject
[she has no problem with being labeled a glutton. it's not untrue.]
...well, that and the drinking, I suppose.
no subject
It was probably the drinking.
no subject
[it was definitely the drinking. anyway, she'll take one of the donuts they've been given and try it.]
Ooh, this is really quite good. Your taste is impeccable as always, Sasazuka.
[i hate that she's saying this when he introduced her to instant ramen.]
no subject
[ THIS IS A LIE
HE ONLY EATS JUNK
HOW IS HE NOT DEAD ]
no subject
[the worst part about this is she actually means it]
Could I impose on you to share your expertise with me? What else should I try while we're here?
no subject
[ no.
but he seems to be seriously thinking about this. ]
Is there anything you're in a particular mood for tastewise?
no subject
[that is
not terribly specific, but also, sasazuka knows sweets best of anyone she knows, so she's sure whatever he comes up with will be great.]
no subject
but he actually thinks about it... ]
Taiyaki is pretty traditional at things like this...
no subject
[she
doesn't know what that is.]
If it's traditional, I'm sure someone is offering it. What does it look like?
no subject
[ he's going to let her think they're going to eat fish. ]
no subject
[but she said she wanted to eat something sweet...?
don't mind her, she's just going to be math lady memeing over "sweet fish" but she'll dutifully look for stalls that are selling fish that don't look too savory.]
no subject
he thinks it's funny. ]
Mm. See any yet?
no subject
unfortunately, canon says she's used to that.]
Umm...
[she's looking doubtfully at a stall that's selling honey-glazed salmon...]
That can't be it, they'd be calling it taiyaki if it was...
no subject
[ is he just judging her detective skills now. ]
no subject
Aha!
[she rushes over to the stall and... yeah, they're selling a "school of fish" set of cake pops. her brow furrows.]
...still not taiyaki, but it does look sweet...
no subject
Those are sweet, yes. They're cake pops.
no subject
[
literally this is why she was assigned gluttony]
no subject
[ he's going to get a lot of them.
this is why they were in gluttony. ]
no subject
[AND THERE'S SOMEONE EATING TAIYAKI. her face lights up and she immediately nyooms to ask them where they got that. once she knows, she'll join the line there and pick some up!!
success!! they can meet up with their treats once they're done standing in line.]
