Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.
Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.
Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:
To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.
Be sure to @ mmc to connect with others as you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.
You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!
For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)
Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...
...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.
[ooc: it's once again mgcu mingle time, but there's a twist! this mingle is open to characters from the following:
however. you may also bring special guests in the form of characters you considered playing in previous games or characters you are anticipating playing in the future. have fun mingling with strangers!]

guidingkey @ mmc
heeyyyy
helloooooo
is anybody else out there???
ii.
[hi. a small child is currently collecting all kinds of snacks? there is literally like popcorn buckets, churros, pretzels, cotton candy, candy apples, etc. hanging out of his arms and he may very well not be able to see where he's going. but he peers around his snack pile and grins broadly before sort of shaking his arms at whoever is nearby.]
You look like you could use a pick-me-up. [snack break!]
iii.
[alternatively, you can find him zipping around the park, kind of eyeballing each new area with a little bit of awe.]
It...sort of feels familiar. Like the Realm? But not quite. It's weird...have you looked around much yet?
iv, because i had to.
[AND THEN SUDDENLY:]
Hey! Have you seen the King anywhere? I thought I saw him earlier, but I can't find him anywhere.
iii
[ vibing while strolling... he's got an actual sketchbook this time with a map sticking out, folded up, out of the back of it. instead of his wrapping paper shenanigans from the realm. ]
The castle looks very much familiar, though.
no subject
It's kinda cool...it feels like you can walk through without getting lost at all. [he says, having consulted a map zero times right now.] Have you looked at the castle yet? We should go check it out!
no subject
Someone is bound to get lost, but, en. The familiarity helps. Although I don't think we're going to run into any of the same problems, like dinosaurs or real ghost parties. Pity. [ tsk. anyways - ] I haven't. Let's go snoop around.
no subject
I kinda miss the dinosaurs a little, but with this many people maybe it's better they're back in the Realm. [but he's bright and eager as always, bouncing on the balls of his feet before he turns to begin leading them onward.] It's not that I miss the Realm or anything, but...it's still kinda nice, you know?
no subject
There were good things that happened while we were in the Realm. [ he jingles along after sora, as if time hasn't gone by at all, folding his arms behind his back. ] And this place feels a bit like the Realm without all of the negative aspects, at least as far as we can tell, so it's easier to enjoy.
no subject
Even back then a lot of it was familiar to me and places I've been. So maybe this place is just someone else's memory, too? All of the pieces of the Realm and other places combined. I bet there's a bridge somewhere to cross that would take us to a hotel just like before. But it feels fine. No weird effects or anything...just way more people than before.
ii
You look like you could use a hand.
no subject
I've got it! [he says, as a corndog begins to slowly roll out of his grip from the top of the pile.] There's still a lot I haven't picked up either.
no subject
Should make it easier to see.
no subject
[sometimes you're used to having a giant inventory.]
iv
The King...? Who's that?
no subject
King Mickey! I'm not sure what he's doing here, but if he is here I have to find him and ask him some things.
[LIKE MAYBE HOW TO GET HOME.]
no subject
What does he look like?
no subject
[he does not clarify that this is a giant rodent.]
no subject
Keyblade...?
[she is picturing a sword shaped like a key which
is not really all that far off i guess.]

iv
she loops her arm around his. it'd be funny if this were redacted sora instead. anyway, ]
If we race through the park, we'll find him in no time!
[ help ]
no subject
but he perks up when she plays along and there's an enthusiastic nod.]
That...is a great idea. Where should we start first though? There's Tomorrowland and Adventureland and Fantasyland...[hm...choices!]
no subject
[ she points.
it is not the right direction. ]
no subject
Have you ever been to a place like this before?
II
Fine. I suppose I can spare a moment or two, if only to indulge you.
[Although, seeing that pile of snacks, nothing seems to get his attention in particular]
Try to give a recommendation that won't make me regret this.
[Looks like he'll take anything, Sora, yup]
no subject
What about...this? [he finagles his snack piles for a second, twisting around before he comes up with what looks like a a chili-lime corn on the cob.] If you're not really into sweets, it's a good option.
no subject
Revali is far less enthusiastic about the corn on the cob than me, but he takes it anyway]
Have you tried this kind of stuff already?
[As if Sora is trying to play a prank on him. Relax a little, Revali]
no subject
I've tried a little of everything. How could I recommend it if I didn't try it myself?
no subject
Giving him a skeptical look, Revali finally relents and gives the corn a try. Oh! Not too bad! It's not hard to tell that if he was displeased in any way, he wouldn't hesitate to announce it]
Who'd have thought there was something good in this place after all?
[This is absolutely high praise!]
