Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.

Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.

Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:

To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.

You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!

For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)

Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...

...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.

[ would it be xie lian if it were not xie lian doing something weird? of course not. namely, it is xie lian wearing a pair of these ears, watching someone make a churro with unmuted fascination on his face. there's a moment where he looks at the churro... and then at his sleeve.... and then back at the churro.... ]

[ or, alternatively, you might find him holding a much wanted mickey bar in his hands! xie lian is examining his bar with the joy of someone who has never seen a mickey bar before on his face, which means that the literal second he bites into it, the ice cream bar starts to drip onto his hand - and then not a moment later, plop, the entire top of the bar slides off and hits the ground.

anyway!! the idea of sharing makes him smile, and he nods, holding the mickey bar out - one ear for each of them. ] Here. On three?

but he hums an amused little noise at the offer of sharing, leaning down and brushing some of his hair back so it doesn't get in the way. ] Happily - on three.

[ and because they are both gross they can chomp on the mickey ears at the exact same time like any couple should do at disneyland. xie lian looks surprised when he finishes it, and then thoughtful, and then nods his head! ]

Oh - that's delicious, isn't it?

anyways, hua cheng makes sure that this mickey bar doesn't fall apart on them, so that xie lian can actually enjoy it this time around. his tongue pokes out after he straightens up, a brief lick across his lips, and then he's nodding back. ]

It is good. I've been enjoying chocolate and ice cream ever since the Realm.

xie lian's cheeks go a little red when they're finishing up, for reasons unexplained, and he clears his throat, but smiles. ]

Mm. Well - there are many delicacies I miss about the Realm, though, none so much as Taako's cookies, I think. Even something as sweet as this doesn't hold much of a candle.
