Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.

Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.

Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:

To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.

You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!

For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)

Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...

...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.

[ you know those people that set up shop with an umbrella and some chairs, and they draw your portraits? hua cheng has apparently stolen one of those stations, because he's just vibing here in the artist's chair and using their supplies to draw various people and things from the park. get a portrait? commentate on him drawing things? tell him off for scaring away whoever the actual artist probably was? ]

Going to take a seat, or are you planning on just standing and watching?

[ ignoring the fact that redacted!hua cheng absolutely murdered alyssa during the week that they had the haunted mansion, but it was still his favorite place, no one should be surprised that he's at this haunted mansion. he fits right in, too, the fancy bastard. ]

Oh, this is quite a lot like home. Could use a few changes, though, to really be up to snuff... the ghosts are a little sad. Could be scarier.

I'm not sure, either. Usually that kind of art is used to insult people, where I'm from, so it's a special kind of masochism to pay for it here.

I've had quite a lot of practice. [ like 800 years worth. it's fine. ] There's not much here to carve with, so I suppose this will have to do instead.

Eh, so you're more of a sculptor, then? That's awesome! I can do some, too, but it's def not my area of expertise. Do you have pics? I'd love to see your stuff!

It depends. I've got quite a few different mediums I've worked with. But carving is usually what I do at these get togethers - at least, during the winter ones, anyways. Plenty of snow and ice to go around for sculptures.

I don't have anything with me besides the mouse looking "phone," so I'm afraid you're out of luck at the moment.

That's a shame! But I like what you're working on now, too. There's, like, an air of gracefulness to it, and the movement flows really nicely.

En, two winter parties and a summer festival. If there have been others, I've not attended them, so I suppose they would have been before my time.

Inks and paints make for good movement, if you understand how it works. Some people struggle with the unpredictability that they have, sometimes, but they just haven't learned the control of it.

A few changes? It needs a complete overhaul. [HMPH] Look at the size of this ballroom. It shouldn't even be called a ballroom! It's just a broom closet!

I think you were assimilated far too quickly into Ghost City for you to find it particularly frightening, honestly, but the sentiment is still there.

It has been a long time since anybody painted me at all.

Unlike anyone's past experiences, we aren't to be stuck for weeks, this go around - at least, that's what I would wager, from past experience. A few hours, though? Absolutely.

Best to find ways to pass the time. Pity, though, that it's been so long. You make for a fine subject.
