Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.
Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.
Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:
To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.
Be sure to @ mmc to connect with others as you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.
You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!
For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)
Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...
...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.
[ooc: it's once again mgcu mingle time, but there's a twist! this mingle is open to characters from the following:
however. you may also bring special guests in the form of characters you considered playing in previous games or characters you are anticipating playing in the future. have fun mingling with strangers!]

Honestly, Flayn, I do not understand how we came to be in this situation in the first place, nevermind the situation itself. Why are you - oh, alright, I will try them on, but then - yes, yes, of course -
[ for all of this conversation that is apparently happening around the corner of one of the gift shop shelves, the source of the main voice mysteriously appears. this befuddled man is holding a pair of ears as he bumps into you, and looks almost immediately sorry for it. ]
Ah, my apologies - I was not watching where I was going. There is quite a lot happening in this place, but it's no excuse for poor manners. Are you alright?
II. teacup roulette
[ please take this confused but well-meaning dad on rides or otherwise harass him, this was mostly so i could harass britt and make the DILF joke but i'm here for all mayhem ]

[flayn shoots whoever happens to be nearby a look of "do NOT mention murder where this man can hear it," then smiles, takes the ears out of his hands, and then tiptoes up to put them on his head]
There! They are quite cheerful, are they not?
no subject
Cheerful is quite the fine word for it, yes. I suppose they suit the mood of this place at the very least.
no subject
[it also seems like there is not murder on the horizon - or at least that's what she thinks since the last couple of mgcu gatherings ended peacefully enough! it's fine. everything is fine.
she doesn't yet know how she's going to explain any of this to him, so she'll settle for distracting him, instead.]
What should we try first?
no subject
Curious place, and curious circumstances, but if you are certain that there is nothing for us to be worried for... [ sweats it's fine it's totally fine she probably won't have to explain anything yet. ] Which would you like to do?
[ maybe he won't veto it ]

[she does not realize that the tea party is the giant spinning teacup ride
but she'll learn.]

i mean
yin yu sure was standing there sometimes you are simply cellophane. he immediately shakes his head, and then bows - unmasked, at the moment. ]
It's no trouble, sir. Are you... did you find what you were looking for?
no subject
son in law :looking: ]
I - yes, I suppose so. My sister was rather insistent that I take a pair of ears, although I cannot say I'm certain of them... [ holding them by one end of the band, turning them and frowning. ]
no subject
he says nothing about the sister because he is a kind and polite young man who is also very good at being discreet (this is why hua cheng has kept him on for so long), and yin yu tilts his head a bit to look properly at the ears, folding his hands behind his back. ]
It does seem the tradition to wear them here. [ ... ] And, surely, if they were picked out by a family member, it would have been done with affection...?
[ yin yu is fairly sure flayn would be thrilled if seteth did wear these, so... he will try his best to help make it happen. ]
I
[A wave of the hand, apologetic.]
I should be asking that to you. I hope I didn't cause you any trouble.
no subject
None at all, so long as you are able to say the same.
no subject
I am, I am. It takes a lot more to knock me down, haha...
[A little nod at the ears in his hands.]
Guess you're going along with the crowd?
