Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.
Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.
Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:
To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.
Be sure to @ mmc to connect with others as you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.
You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!
For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)
Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...
...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.
[ooc: it's once again mgcu mingle time, but there's a twist! this mingle is open to characters from the following:
however. you may also bring special guests in the form of characters you considered playing in previous games or characters you are anticipating playing in the future. have fun mingling with strangers!]

It's for kids. You can be braver than a ten year old.

It’s not my fault that I’m bad with horror. [ hmph ] It was bad enough that we found that weird circle in the floor after Crow tore out the carpet!
[ i’m making this canon idc ]
But if I can hold onto you, maybe I’ll be fine.
no subject
Maybe that's why the place was so cheap.
[ but, yes, he'll take one for the team and let his cute girlfriend cling to him? he supposes? what a burden. ]
Only maybe?

I feel like you’d do something to scare me on purpose…

Yes! It's all very exciting -- it's like every where you turn there's more, right? I'm glad to see that you and others don't seem overwhelmed.
What has been your favorite so far? [ among all the... sNYACKS ]

It's exciting! ...I think I'd be overwhelmed if I hadn't been to the Prism first, to be honest.
[but since she's kinda-sorta familiar with modern things, and with the carnival from there... it's definitely eased the way a bit here.]
It's hard to pick... the churros are really tasty, though? And they have different flavors in different parts of the park!
no subject
Right! I personally really like the one that gets a marshmallow dipping sauce.
In Japan there's a snow crab pizza... I'd really like to try that.
no subject
A snow crab pizza? That sounds delicious!
no subject
Maybe they have it here, too? We could check!

"Not again..?" [ he looks up at the haunted mansion, frowning briefly at it as if it has done something terrible to marie personally. it is a park attraction, chang geng. ] You don't have to go on it if you don't want to, jiejie.
I've never been to anything like this, before, so maybe something you think we'd both enjoy?
no subject
now imagine i said mr toads wild ride but no ]
There's a ride where you go on a boat and the guide tells funny jokes! I like that one a lot!
no subject
honestly, the house doesn't look that spooky to him, but he won't question it and instead tilts his head with the ride suggestion. ]
That sounds like it would be interesting, actually. And less ominous than the mansion, here, too.
no subject
It looks impressive from the outside... but inside... [ she just makes a face ] I'm just very bad with horror.
