Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.

Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.

Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:

To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.

You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!

For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)

Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...

...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.

[he asks the bird, obliging it in its demand for throat pets. his hand's big enough that this is still kind of a single fingertip petting situation, but his touch remains gentle all the way through.

honestly, this is just cute. he always takes a little time for this, to indulge vax in affection in this form as well-- to keep it from being purely a form where he never makes contact with others.]

that just gets another long, throaty croak noise as he sticks his neck all the way out and closes his eyes - and then a wing comes out and baps gently at his hand. This is great but also come on!!! his people shape!!! ]

no, okay. he shifts his hold a bit as he feeds aether into the bird, an easy gesture for someone with his overflowing reserves of it-- magic to grab onto, to influence his shape.]

this is a familiar process by now - emet’s enough of an anchor to another plane that the solidity of a physical form works like a tether. with a little puff and a cloud of feathers, the tiny bird shape becomes a tall half elf, who grins as his feet touch the ground. I guess if emet is willing to put him down.

[emet does put him down, because they're in public. otherwise he might keep him scooped up because he can, because he's so large.]

anyway he brushes himself off now that he's somewhere solid, wings settling behind him, and though he was grumbling, he does not seem at all actually bothered. ] Hello to you too!

I would say it is good to see you, but I hardly expected we would be here at all... wherever this may be.

it becomes smaller, with some focus. still a good head taller than vax, but much more appropriately sized for things such as this, their hands fitting more smoothly together.]

Lots of good food. A couple different rides you can go on for the thrill of it. [ which like of course he'd like. ] Couple of shops. You're supposed to have on a pair of ears, you know.

I will tolerate these rides, but I must put my foot down when it comes to the accessories.

[look he's been home he's not USED to this stuff anymore. it's still a little dizzying, to see such an array of stuff.]

Oh, yeah. Least nothing in here's actually magical and moving around.

[ fond... vax loves gilmore's so of course the sights and sound of disney doe not bother him any. he plucks up a second pair of ears - these ones and holds them out. ]

Here, you've got a good view from up there. Help me out? [ and then ducks his head a little as if he actually has to do that for emet to stick this ridiculous pair of ears on vax's head. help him!!!!
