Jingle Mingle...2
Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...
...a ski lodge.
Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)
Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!
The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.
This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.
Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?
Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.
[ooc: it's mgcu time! this mingle is open to characters from the following:

[What in the name of the Goddess is this Christmas he has heard about today and can he opt-out? He's not interested in receiving presents, hah]

I have no idea who this Santa individual is supposed to be.
no subject
[He smirks.]
He's a major figure, you know. Every year, he judges the sins of the living, and if you've been good, he gives us all presents! But if you've been naughty....ah.
[He shakes his head, looking away.]
Perhaps...I shouldn't say...

Once Hansa looks away, Revali shakes his head. There's one thing that immediately comes to mind that would make people be hesitant to say it, so he does, believing he's completing what Hansa was saying]
He kills you.
[So this Santa is some oppressive figure who bestows gifts upon those he deems have behaved, and those who don't, are killed. He better watch out, sooner or later he'll get a bunch of forty people to make a bomb and aim it at him, like a certain bunch of angels did]
no subject
[He leans in, grinning.]
It's much worse than that. But! I've said too much. You shouldn't have anything to worry about, right? I'm sure an upstanding figure like you has been nothing but nice.
no subject
[Revali is pretty sure he'd get on the bad side of someone like this Santa person, and even more, when a wing goes to the bow on his back, Medli jumping from it to the floor]
Then something should be done about this Santa individual.
[Yeah, Revali is going to hunt down Santa at this rate, his intention isn't subtle. Fortunately, he also would bring it up to people he trusts and were in the Chasma murdergame, telling them there's this Santa guy who very clearly deserves to be pursued, and among them surely someone will set the record straight, but right now? Yeah, he's strongly considering something must be done]
no subject
[He's. Trying to keep his composure.]
You're going to hunt down Santa? Right now? Really?
no subject
[As if that's the most obvious thing ever. It probably would be once another months long project. Calamity Ganon took more than a hundred years to be defeated, the angels got a bomb on their faces after two months...this probably will be time-consuming as well]

[A shake of the head.]
Many have tried and failed. I wouldn't go out of my way to go down such a road, you know?
[And an ominous pause...]
2/2
It's because it's a joke.
no subject
Is it.
[Looks like Revali isn't willing to just drop his guard and let go of this as a joke. While at least he doesn't seem like at any moment he'll go and gather a Santa Hunting Party, Hansa managed to make things sound serious enough for him to not just let this go for a few months at the very least, just keeping an eye out for any sign it's not a joke after all. What kind of person would he be if he turned a blind eye to the possibility it's not a mere joke?
Well! Turns out the murdergame did make Revali more altruistic than he was at the beginning of it all -- he's willing to jump into this all without glory and fame dangling as an additional incentive]

[IGNORING THE...ELVES. AND THE PENGUINS. He laughs a little, good-naturedly.]
But I appreciate your earnestness, all the same. Especially after everything we've been through, I guess it pays to be just a bit cautious, right? Its good. Keep it up.
no subject
[Yeah, by now he's aware this is all 'a Christmas party'. Didn't get told about Santa, though, haha, but if there's a link between Santa and Christmas then yeah, perhaps he's harmless.
What Hansa says afterwards, though...]
Only a callous and indifferent person would ignore such a serious and large-scale problem when told about it.
[He says, knowing that he fell for it just because he didn't know who Santa was. Everyone else in this lodge probably knows about Santa, nobody else would have fallen for it, he thinks]
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
You'd be surprised. Sometimes, people want to leave problems for others to solve. it takes bravery for a person to step up to the plate.
no subject
[Revali how do you expect anyone to know how old or young you are just from your looks, leaving aside your strange age conundrum. At least he doesn't seem like he's upset about that, he's simply commenting about it, hah]
I have known people who would be eager to jump into this, several of them present in this reunion. I'd dare say that's one of the points most of us here have in common.
[Well, or at least he hopes the strangers here would do that. If they went through their own murdertimes, then surely they faced similar trouble, he guesses]
no subject
[hansa stop trolling]
That is very true. Though, on the other hand, with everyone willing to rush in, it increases the likelihood we'll butt heads, metaphorically and literally. I'm sure you all had your fair share of drama, too.
