Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

[okay, so yes, this is a mistletoe meme, but also...

there's snow! and sheba is a gremlin! which means, seemingly out of nowhere, a snowball will come whizzing your way. hope your reflexes are good, because otherwise, you'll probably be shivering soon! there's a little giggle from the direction the snowball came from, and if you're quick, you might catch a glimpse of blonde hair or a purple cloak - but when you blink, no one's there.

moments later, sheba seems to be approaching from... the opposite direction? where'd she even come from? it's like she appeared out of nowhere.

anyway, she grins.]

okay, so by all rights, katarina should probably be more freaked out by this than she is? but. but. there is so much food, and she's immediately distracted by the snacks and drinks before panic can properly set in.

so! here she is, munching on an assortment of holiday foods and sipping at hot cocoa. when she spots you, she waves.]

Ah, we're back here again, huh?

[Says this eyepatched priest, grinning - he's holding what seems to be a cup of something alcoholic. Drinking on the job? Probably.]

[He's easily mingling with the rest, offering hors d'oeuvres he's snatched from a plate or plucking a string of tinsel to drape around his shoulders. If anyone approaches, he'll glance over at them with a smirk, his visible eye twinkling almost mischievously.]

Have you been good this year? You know you won't get any presents if you weren't.

well, whether you know her or not, there is a young lady kneeling down in front of a fireplace. if you look more closely, you'll see that in her hands is a stick! there's a marshmallow on the end of it! she is roasting some marshmallows in the fireplace.

next to her, a small monkey is doing the same. ]

[surprising absolutely no one, shi qingxuan is drinking!

you can catch her by the fireplace, where she is cozily bundled up and has a few empty glasses nearby. upon seeing you approach, she smiles and pours a cup without even asking first (unless you are visibly underage, in which case she'll just wave you over.]

Well, what are you waiting for? We might as well get cozy.

[alternatively, you can catch her at the hot springs.

where she is lounging in the water and still has glasses with her. she's sipping at one. there's a jug of rice wine at the water's edge, along with more empty glasses, which she will, once again, fill for anyone who approaches and isn't, like, a child.]

This is nice, don't you think? Much warmer than all that snow out there.

[some nerd is looking around the entire room with clear curiosity from where he stands near the food table, but when he sees the penguins wandering around the room, he leans towards whoever happens to be closest, whispering:]

Look at their bowties. Is that not the cutest thing you have ever seen?

that's literally all he is doing in this i'm not writing something fancier. it's the holidays and that's when you get the good fuckin cookies and cake. he knows what he's about. ]

Some of you may know Bradley, and some of you might know Nero and right now Nero has his hand around Bradley's tie, attempting to... choke him out with it?]

Why the hell are you here!?

What? Ain't like I decided to show up here.

[Neither of them actually signed up for murder time or ending up in some random lodge in the middle of who knows where. But both of them can put two and two together and Nero is considerably less enthused by the revelation.]

[Nero resumes attempting to choke him out for another minute before leaving in a huff.]

if you have Experienced Royce before, at some point you will get pelted with a snowball, though? it doesn't look like anybody is around, when you look, but there is a very innocent man with a drink in hand, leaning against the wall.

anyway, he's got a small child with him, who is pulling him along by the sleeve and chattering excitedly at all of the different sights. the kid seems friendly enough, but qi rong himself is absolutely not acknowledging anyone that he recognizes (even if it's obvious that he recognizes them, because his whole expression changes and he pointedly looks away).]

[ well xie lian knows absolutely nothing about christmas. however!

...for this particular flavor of xie lian, this is not the first time this has happened! and he does not seem particularly bothered by being swept off to some wintery celebration of unknown origin. dressed in his usual white robes, his straw hat on his back.

he's stepped outside for a moment to admire the view, and the exact moment he steps outside -

a giant lump of snow falls directly from the overhead roof and straight onto xie lian's head.

this time he looks more tiredly bemused than ready to jump out the nearest window at least. he's got a warm sweater on- and you know what, sure. this may as well happen. ]

[ yet another person who has absolutely no idea what christmas is! but you know what gu yun does understand? alcohol!

he's got a mug of what smells like it should probably be a hot toddy, but it smells like a little extra bourbon than necessary, and is just lounging on one of the comfier lounge seats like he owns the place. wearing his liuli glass and thin silks half open at his chest because winter clothes are for chumps, he eyes a piece of particularly stubborn mistletoe, and raises his mug in that direction. if you approach, gu yun gestures to one, expression glittering with amusement - ] Surprised we didn't have an invention like that in the station. Wonder if we're all supposed to kiss this place goodbye.

[ he sounds more amused by this idea than anything.... and is doing absolutely nothing to help anyone, instead just people watching and occasionally waving over these waddling penguins and elves to refill his cup. nice. ]

[Wherever your character is, they're about to get a big snowball- so big Rin has to use both hands to lift it- absolutely dunked on them.

Or if you want to watch Rin throw snow at someone else, that's possible too. If you're just an observer, you might see a grey-haired priest with round glasses partially hiding nearby, watching Rin cause chaos while he smiles warmly.]

[ you know who loves christmas!!!!! ichiro loves christmas!!!!!!!! mister christmas eyes himself looks fully in his element even if he's been swept off somewhere odd; though his bros aren't here, there are enough familiar faces that he gets the picture.

he's sitting down on the floor in one of the common areas, beaming at the nearest person, a santa hat plunked onto his messy hair, and wearing a sweater, though the snowmen have one, two, and three buttons respectively. ]
