Jingle Mingle...2

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

It's the least they can do, all things considered. [ It's fine, Bertl still likes him anyway. ]

That's... you eat that on Christmas, right? [ he's still learning, but he's seen enough around that apparently fried chicken is the christmas meal.

and that's all he knows.

idi does bend down to eat the strawberry from his hand, happy to be fed. bertl takes a piece of meat and offers it to nagako in turn ]

That's what all the commercials are for, I think? [ They're the only thing he notices??? What romantic holiday. Nagako is also thrilled, giving Bertl's hand a lick when she's done.

Akira is still not looking in this particular direction, thanks. ]

[perspire]

At least the ones I've seen. [ Even with more channels to watch, Bertl still doesn't watch too much TV. He knows as much as Akira does. But when Nagako is done licking his hand, he is reaching to rub her head. ]

There's a lot more people here than before, huh?

[bloodread]

[ She is all here for pets, yes. ]

...yeah, but that's how parties usually are. I don't get all the plants, though.

[perspire]

Just an easy decoration?

[ should he use his height to get a closer look? he's feeling a little brave ]

[bloodread]

Is there even anything special about them? [ He is craning his neck upward but he is the shorter one in this relationship and like no where else, so he looks at Bertolt. ]

[perspire]

They seem normal...?

[ he reaches up to poke one and nothing seems to happen, so he shrugs ]

We shouldn't worry about it. [ famous last words ]

[bloodread]

[ Well he trusts him so clearly this is fine. Akira shrugs. ]

Let's get somewhere with more room for 'em. [ He gestures at Nagako and Idi because houses were not meant to harbor the savanna. He leaves the room but not before grabbing another meat skewer, though he doesn't get too far.

This next room has more plants??? wtf. ]

[perspire]

[ nods as he grabs a plate with veggies and meat for the animals.

and he stops once he sees all the plants ] So... maybe we should worry?

[bloodread]

You really think a bunch of plants are gonna kick our asses? [ They should worry but Akira will fight these plants! ]

[perspire]

Well, not exactly.

But maybe do something else?

[bloodread]

Idi can eat them, can't she?

[ Do I need to google if mistletoe is poisonous to giraffes. ]

[perspire]

[ idi leans in to sniff one ]

Perhaps not too many. [ she speaks! ]

[ but fine, bertolt is going to go in and grab one ]

[bloodread]

...don't get sick. [ Despite this being his idea. And this is stupid but Akira is gonna lean over and whisper into Bertolt's ear in Japanese cause do the daemons get the multilanguage translate too? Who knows. ]

I keep forgetting they can do that now.

[perspire]

[ Bertolt lets out a chuckle. ] I'll be sure to remind you.

[ but yes he walks into the room to grab a sprig of mistletoe. but he doesn't get very far before he seemingly stumbles back right into akira ]

[bloodread]

[ There's a minor grumble but Akira doesn't press, and he has other stuff to worry about like Bertolt stumbling back into him. ]

What's up? [ Puts his hands around him to steady, probably around his hips cause Bertolt is taller also just gay things. ]

[perspire]

It felt like something push me...?

[ he sounds pretty confused about what happened, but he knows what it feels like being pushed. he turns around to look at akira ]

Maybe we should avoid it.

[bloodread]

I'm not gonna lose to wind or a plant. [ Pushing past to leave the room and yup he's getting pushed back too. ]

What the fuck?

[perspire]

Told you.

[ squints at the plant ]

Is there... something about this plant?

[bloodread]

Think we gotta burn it?

[ Help. ]

[ and he keeps laughing as he walks away ]
