Jingle Mingle...2

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

[ well, at the end of seasons i kept saying that lux would never speak to like 90% of the people there again and would just go home and be alone. so naturally, she is just wall-flowering somewhere, trying to be inconspicuous. but also staying warm and staying inside.

she has a cup of hot apple cider, though, which she's sipping at. people watching. ]

upon spotting lux, ichiro brightens immediately, stops by the food table, and comes right over to hold out... a candy apple! ]

Hey, Lux-chan. [ the sun is here look at this smile ] Try this!

[ oh... she takes it with a little nod of thanks, but is distracted by his sweatshirt? ]

... Snowmies...?

Huh?

[ he follows her gaze and - oh. ] Oh, yeah. Snowmies. Haha - Snow, plus homies. They're supposed to be me and my bros.

[ as he points to each in turn - the red hat wearing one button is - ] Ichiro, [ the blue hat one with two buttons is ] Jiro, [ and the three button one with a yellow hat is ] Saburo.

Though I think if my brother wore something like that I might perish from the embarrassment.

I can't tell if I'm pleased or disheartened by it, to be honest.

I recognize so many people here from that place. So I wonder if everyone else here - those I don't recognize - have been through similar circumstances.

...I hadn't thought about it like that.

Well, maybe they're all here from somewhere different. Somewhere, uh, less dangerous.

Well. I hope that's the case.

I would say this doesn't seem like a very ominous place, but neither did the academy.

It definitely seemed more ominous than this, I think. So...

Then we'll just have to relax and enjoy ourselves, for now.

Hmm... Quite a lot of animals. Besides the penguin servers, I mean.

[The penguins by themselves are plenty interesting. He raises the glass to his lips.]

Animals? I guess you're right. But is that all?

Honestly, most everything here seems interesting, to me. It's all so unfamiliar, save for a few faces in the crowd.

Really? I understand the faces, but this is a pretty standard lodge.

Of course, it depends on the dimension. Most of the décor and activities here can be seen in other worlds with similar traditions. Even the likes of those penguins can be found in dimensions that house beastmen.

I'm familiar with decorating in bright colors in the cold seasons, but the architecture of this building itself is still very different from what I'm accustomed to.
