Jingle Mingle...2

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

[he raises both eyebrows like "uh huh, and who's the one spoiling him?" but he doesn't say that. instead there's a grin.]

Well we can't have that. Hot cocoa and maybe some of the cookies. I still have no idea where all the food's coming from, but I've asked the penguins for a couple of things and they've always managed to bring it back.

But where it's coming from... It's just magic bullshit. I stopped thinking about it and you should too.

[ even though he's probably got a much better chance of actually figuring it out than she does, since he's more used to magic. ]

Yeah, I guess you're right. [which means she's walked right into a trap, because he shrugs lightly and gives her another charming grin.]

Sooo...what should I be thinking about instead? [hello, clem. did you miss him?]

[ pff. she nudges him lightly with her elbow. ]

Hmm - how about how romantic this is.

[she nudges and he dodges just a little, twirling a bit before looping around to grab her free hand. his now, thanks.]

It is pretty nice. I think it has something to do with the lights? [joking, because he has absolutely seen all of the mistletoe everywhere.]

[ oh, this is genuinely very cute. and also embarrassing. but she isn't going to complain about holding hands. ]

It might be something else.

[Sora is truly just an embarrassment it's fine. they are now holding hands and he seems more content as he swings them back and forth a bit.]

You think? Could be...I wonder what it is. I just can't quite put my finger in it. [gremlin.]

[ hmm... she glances at some mistletoe. ]

Guess we'll never know.

Guess not. [...but it's sora. he can't exactly contain his feelings for that long, so after a few moments he turns his back on the mistletoe before swooping in for a brief kiss.]

...maybe I've been thinking about how glad I am to see you instead.

[ she laughs, and because it was so brief, leans in to kiss him back. ]

... Me too. Always.

[ but, ahem. there are a lot of people around so. anyway. ]

[reciprocation kisses are equally valid so he accepts it with a wider grin.]

Wanna go sit down? I'm here for a little while. ["I want to be with you as long as I can." also yeah there sure are a lot of people, so getting out of the way sounds like a nice idea.] We'll grab snacks on the way.

[ she nods, and starts heading towards somewhere to sit. preferably by a fireplace, partly because it's warm and partly because - well. it's where they hung out last time? ]

I'm starting to worry that everyone here thinks I only care about food.

[ she's mostly just kidding. like, she gets why... but... ]

[fireplaces are good! fireplaces are awesome when you want to be cozy and also when you're from an island and the cold is still very real.]

Even if that's true, who cares what they think? [easy for him to say.] Besides, anybody who says the food isn't good is lying anyway.
