Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

[He kind of gives Sora a look like half of those words are (percy jackson voice) Greek to him. What in the world. SINCE WHEN DID SORA LEARN TO COOK?? He can almost feel the very faint curl of jealousy in the pit of him, but quickly brushes that aside.

I'm surprised. [Whether it's about Sora being interested in cooking, or being able to cook, he doesn't clarify.] You're really growing up on me here.

[pushes you over. also yeah, wow. riku's missed all sorts of milestones in sora's life, but please don't let jealousy pop up. please.]

Yeah, well...[he almost says something like "I had to learn how to survive without you" or "I can take care of myself!" but he remembers that riku knows the truth, so...he gets an embarrassed laugh instead.]

I can make something for you before we leave if you want. Since you don't seem to believe me. [yeah. make it a joke. perfect.]

[Sora doesn't have to say it for him to already have thought it. Sora is surprising him because Sora is doing things he would have previously never given the other boy credit for.

But he's glad. Even with the second's worth pang of jealousy--he's glad. Sora is getting stronger, getting better.]

Alright. Make me something that isn't going to make me puke.

He offers some of the """Berries au Fromage""" out to Sora. Eat some, nerd.]

[WHY IS RIKU SO--you know what. actually? riku being rude to him, unfortunately, makes him very happy because he's missed his friends more than anything. even so, he elbows riku in the ribs.]

Shut up. You'll see. It'll be the best-tasting thing you've ever had...whatever it is. [he hasn't picked a recipe yet, but he will take some of the cheese berries, thanks. on the other hand, he pops part of the dessert in his mouth before he continues talking.]

Met one of your boyfriends, by the way.

[OOF. Ow! Sora is hitting him about as much as he is being mean and sassy.]

except the casual way Sora SAYS THIS startles the hell out of him. His face looks like WHAT and he makes a kind of weird choke.]

[yeah, sometimes you have to have constant physical contact to make sure you and your best bro are both actually there, and he doesn't think riku would appreciate him hanging off of him. so hitting it is.

nevertheless! the food is good and he's thoroughly enjoying watching riku shortcircuit a little.]

Yamato. He seems nice. I can see why you guys would get along. [there's two of them.]

A lil bit of heat creeps into his face at the mention of Yamato. There’s definitely two of them. He really wishes he could rub the back of his neck, but his hands are full.]

Yeah.

[JUST YEAH? Why is he suddenly shy? I hate this boy.]

You didn’t ask him a bunch of nosy questions, did you?

[haha. nice. riku being shy is still funny but sora takes all of this in stride with a slightly fond smile.]

Well...they weren't nosy. [so he asked a bunch of questions, yeah.] I just wanted to get to know him and Taichi better so I asked about their world and stuff.

Sora is out here getting more out of his boyfriends than he ever has, and that's so stupid and sad on his part.]

What did he say...?

He told me a little about that digital world and why they were chosen to go there. And about Gabumon? I think that was his name. And we talked about their world and school and stuff. [and he raises a teasing eyebrow.]

He also said you talked about me more than you talked about Kairi. [but, more matter-of-fact.] ...and that he hoped you were happy with them.

Yeah. Gabumon is his friend and partner.

[What's with the teasing eyebrow--STOP. He looks shockedpika for no reason when he really did that, and then he looks quickly embarrassed.]

It... wasn't like that! It's not that Kairi isn't important. You were just who I was with last... Who I was trying to get back to first. And Taichi reminded me a lot of you. Taichi and Yamato reminded me a lot of us. [He is just hovering with the same level of embarrassment.] ...

He's so dumb. [Fond.] Of course I'm happy.

[riku you dumb ho. it's fine. sora knows that it's not the way it sounds but he still finds it hilarious. and a little...hm.]

Yeah, okay. Yamato said the same thing but I don't really get it. [he has yet to meet his doppleganger and i refuse to tag myself. still...]

If they make you happy, you should tell them while you can. Who knows when we'll all see each other again like this?
