Jingle Mingle...2

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

[Sighing and shaking his head... A TRAGEDY. But it's fine because he bounces back fast and who needs a non-burnt tongue anyway?? NOT HIM. So with an enthusiastic wave of his free hand, he'll start leading the way back down the path toward the topiary garden once more.]

I saw quite a few of them - with the lights, they are dazzling!

[she sounds and looks excited to go back to view them. she's also much more comfortable now that she's holding a warm drink. her hands will not freeze.]

It looked like many of them were in the shape of animals... I must admit I did not recognize them all, but they were quite impressive to look at, and it is fun to imagine what the real thing might look like.

[Their hands, protected from frostbite...! He could do with like fifty more layers of robes, honestly, but a hot drink does at least remove the bitterest edge from the cold.

Moving also does wonders, and fortunately(???) he's just as mobile as ever, bounding down the path at his usual energetic clip.]

Oh, yes! I've seen a few from afar that really made me question the taste of our dear landscaper, actually - I had wondered if they were meant to be animals at all! Though I guess whoever's thrown this little get-together has plenty of sources of inspiration to pull from, hah.

[WAVING A HAND AND ZOOMING down the path...! But, like, at a slightly more reserved pace than usual if only so his drink doesn't go flying all over the place, spilling over the sides and burning his hand.]

Over here, for one! This one was the first I saw, it's truly something otherworldly!

[It's a detailed and intricate lion topiary shaped like this. Wei Wuxian looks far too amused about it.]

How did they manage to make it appear as if it is smiling? It is made of plants!

[IT SURE IS, ISN'T IT... Who knows how they managed to make it look so accurate(????), but wow, this punk is purely delighted. He circles around this circus creature come to life, taking care not to spill his too-hot prize in his exuberance.]

I'd like to know the very same thing! Mostly so that I might be able to replicate one or two of my own, back home. Don't you think this is the exact sort of centerpiece that will get everyone talking?

["Getting everyone talking" is exactly what got his ass killed the first time but (grandmother willow voice) it's fine.]
