Jingle Mingle...2
Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...
...a ski lodge.
Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)
Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!
The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.
This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.
Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?
Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.
[ooc: it's mgcu time! this mingle is open to characters from the following:

Anyway look it's fine. They're all doing fine. He pointedly and politely does not point out her continued decor thievery since Iris can do whatever she wants, and instead casts her a mildly empathetic look.]
I can't imagine that you would enjoy taking time out of your schedule even if you were given plenty of notice in advance, let alone something so last minute. [At least neither of them (presumably) got stuffed into sacks, even though Sakyou absolutely deserves it just as much as Wei Wuxian did.]
I have heard from others that these... gatherings appear to last through the evening. If they are correct, then it should only be hours that we spend here, at least. It is nice to see those I haven't been able to visit, as well.
[Like Iris!! They are both so busy doing aristocratic and bloody things, goddamn.]

but she laughs... a little sheepishly.... that's true. depending on her workload, she might not have shown up even with an invitation. terrible. awful.]
Is that so... Well, I suppose I can give up a few hours. [that she will just keep working through the night later]
How adept you are at finding the silver lining. Or is it simply that we have no choice but to?

Wow though she really is out here doing the most. Though Sakyou is also like, 50/50 likely to turn down an invite as he is to accept one, so he couldn't judge...]
A skill honed due to necessity, primarily. [Said with a little quirk of a wry smile.] To be honest, optimism isn't my strongest suit.
[Wowie who woulda guessed that... Anyway it's fine, the fire pit is just ahead! Sakyou actually looks a little relieved, if only because he's just as susceptible to the cold as anyone. No one else is standing around the outside of this particular pit, either, and no penguins or elves are lurking... probably.]
A bit of good fortune, for once.
[She can commit her crimes and get off scot-free...]

[she's so sure of herself despite being the worst. just the worst. anyway she's tossing the mistletoe remains into the fire. she's not even watching them burn, really, but she is very satisfied with knowing that they are.
instead she turns to him and offers the simplest, most delighted smile]
Though if you would like to spare a decoration for yourself, I could overlook it.
[like if sakyou wanted to use an excuse to smooch someone she would only judge like.
less than she would others]

[He also thinks she's doing a great service! Goodnight, sweet mistletoe. Likewise, he only casts a fleeting glance toward the fire just to make sure they aren't cursed evil plants that will promptly spring back out and launch at them with a vengeance... Once the concern of that happening immediately is alleviated, he turns his attention back to Iris!
And meets that smile with a look that's like "why would you say this to me, Sakyou, an exhausted old man". He doesn't put that into words though, and just politely holds up a hand in his usual gesture of elegant refusal.]
I could not think of any good purpose for a plant such as this. To be honest, I had considered joining you in disposing of as many as I could find... With some of the individuals here, I would say we would be putting a preemptive end to far too much trouble.
