Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.
Welcome...to the happiest place on Earth.
Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:
To all who come to this happy place: welcome. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future.
Be sure to @ mmc to connect with others as you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.
You will find what appears to be a forum available to you filled with names you may or may not recognize. Try putting a message out there and seeing who responds!
For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)
Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...
...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.
[ooc: it's once again mgcu mingle time, but there's a twist! this mingle is open to characters from the following:
however. you may also bring special guests in the form of characters you considered playing in previous games or characters you are anticipating playing in the future. have fun mingling with strangers!]

It's a shame they don't have places like this back in Teyvat! From the sound of it, he really would like it here.
no subject
BUT more importantly, a namedrop!! Automatically he looks interested, which he probably shouldn't because if she's from Teyvat then there's a not-insignificant chance she'll recognize who he is, but eh. If she finds out, then there's no reaction she can have that he hasn't experienced before.]
Ah! You too, comrade? Where are you from? [He's guessing Mondstadt, but looks can be deceiving.]
no subject
anyway. this is genuinely the funniest thing in the world to me. she nods, smiling. it's close enough - she was in mondstadt before they all found themselves here, and she's probably just going to move there permanently at this rate eventually, so.]
Mondstadt. And you?
[if she recognizes him, she is very gamely pretending not to. it's fine.]

Like this but funnier
He does, somewhat belatedly, realize she might not actually be from Teyvat, but a long-term visitor--he knows of Diluc and Kaeya, of course, but he doesn't actually know them, so he can't accurately judge whether or not they'd invite someone from their game back with them or not. It doesn't matter much either way, anyway; that's not his division (yet) so he doesn't have to care.
Briefly, he contemplates going haha I'm an adventurer from Mondstadt too, what a coincidence! just because it makes him laugh every time he thinks about it, thank you Paimon--but no, it's not as funny when the Traveler isn't around to facepalm in the background. He'll just be honest.]
Snezhnaya! Though I haven't been back home in quite a while--ah, but you know, I went to Dragonspine a few months ago! It's not really the same, but it felt nostalgic nonetheless.

[sheba smiles.]
I'm "not allowed" [she does in fact do airquotes. why.] to go there by myself anymore, though. Though I'm starting to think that what they really mean is I'm not allowed to go there at all.
Maybe I'll just have to sneak over there myself when no one's looking!

[that awkward moment when you don't know your parents but you don't want to make things weird by saying so.]
Visiting the camp might be nice! I've never stayed there for too long before, so I haven't gotten to try the goulash yet. And maybe if they need another person to head up on an expedition I can lend a hand!

A fine idea! It's not quite as boisterous [that's a word for it] as this place, but I suppose that's only to be expected.
[Given that Dragonspine is like the CORPSE OF A HUGEASS DRAGON or whatever (and also all the Fatui wandering around but listen don't worry about that they're fine)
But now he's looking back over the park, contemplative.]
Ah, I should've brought a Kamera...
no subject
Maybe you can use this thing?
[she pulls out her little mouse phone which connects them to their network and gives it a shake.]
A few people have put up images on here - so in theory there should be a way to take them and bring them back.
no subject
[Ah yes, the weird phone device. He fishes his out of his pocket too, where he'd promptly shoved it because Childe has no use for unsecured methods of communication. But if it's just pictures...]
Do you think so? It's quite different from the last device I received in one of these places, but that one still works too, so I suppose it's possible...
[HMMM. But how to use it?]
no subject
[maybe if she spots some of the people in the pictures she can read their minds and find out how they did it...
for now, though, she fiddles with the device.]
It's a strange little thing, isn't it? We didn't have anything like it where I was, before.
