Jingle Mingle...2

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

You think? [spoken like a truly dumb bitch who doesn't always entirely understand how much his friends love him and care about his opinion.] I dunno, sometimes Riku just does things his own way no matter what.

[it's kind of a joke, but...then he grows a little more serious.]

He's really important to both of us. So as long as he's happy and safe with you then...that's what matters most.

He... We haven't been dating that long, but I hope he is.

[cackles. that's from me, not sora. sora finds it a little endearing even if he literally was in the same position not that long ago.]

He told me about you. That definitely means something. [...and then, teasing:] So you better take good care of him when I can't, okay?

[ there's a bit of a raised eyebrow before yamato gets control back of flustering by

dunking on his boyfriend(s) ]

He doesn't make it easy, but Taichi's got me used to babysitting anyway.

[there's a snort of amusement.]

Come on. It can't be that bad. [please dunk on your boyfriends and tell him all about it.]

I can't leave them alone for five seconds or they get in trouble. [ he will not expand on what kind of trouble, but he will DUNK ]

[reconnective]

Sounds like a handful. [he says, like he isn't the same brand of stupid.] And let me guess, they both deny that they're troublemakers?

[he's shaking his head. for shame. for shame.]

[ghoststrums]

Riku would try and say we were the ones getting in trouble all the time, like he wasn't held hostage by the school. [ grumbles grumbles ] And Taichi's...

I dunno. Both of those could be true. [are you secretly trouble, yamato? are you?] Guess it's still worth it even with all of that.

[ghoststrums]

I don't get in trouble, I drag people out of it. [ lies. but he sips his drink to hide a smile at that; ] ... But yeah. I guess they're worth it.

[reconnective]

Uh huh. [sounds like something riku would say and therefore he thinks it's bullshit. but...hm. good to know.] You guess.

[ghoststrums]

They do have to compete with how big of a headache they are. It's a close call.

[ BLATANT LIES ]

[reconnective]

Sounds tragic. [THEY ARE TRULY THE SAME. which is why sora grins a little.]

The easiest way to get Riku to behave is compliment him and say something nice about him. Throws him off every time and he stops being a bully. [don't be mean to riku.]

[ghoststrums]

[ yamato laughs softly at the call out ]

Yeah, I've noticed. [ like he doesn't get flustered at compliments. it's fine. no one can tell ] He's bad at any kind of affection, really. It's kind of cute. [ ... ] It's mostly funny, though.

[reconnective]

Yeah, it is. [he doesn't clarify which he means, but he seems pleased by yamato's assessment.] He usually says he leaves the sappy stuff to me and Kairi, but he's full of it.

[ghoststrums]

He tried to say the same to me. [ what a loser. ] But you're right. He's plenty sappy on his own.

[reconnective]

He'll get better eventually. [haha. but he gives him another questioning look.] How did...the three of you decide?

[ghoststrums]

... Uh, well... Taichi and I were already together when Riku told me he liked us both. So we talked about it all three of us after that.

[ he generously does not mention the rest of that awkwardness ]

[reconnective]

[he ponders this, sipping his hot cocoa and buying his time. maybe making yamato sweat a little. maybe thinking some things over.]

...he tried to back out, didn't he.

[idiot.]

[ghoststrums]

[ sips his cocoa to hide how he wants to laugh thinking about riku trying to back out seventeen times so much it annoyed taichi into kissing him ]

A couple of times. I'm kind of surprised he managed to say anything at all.

[ ... even if he also tried to back away from that midway by going `maya likes me` ]

[reconnective]

[stupid. all of them.]

I'm kind of surprised, too. [brutal. but he's still soft about it.] But it just tells me exactly what I already figured.

[he does not explain.] You may as well come visit when things settle down again, too.

[ghoststrums]

[ yamato doesn't ask but clearly looks ??? about it ]

Mm. That's something we wanted to do. Riku wasn't sure when he'd get back home, so we told him to find us first when he could. Then we could go and meet the friends he mentioned so much. [ a beat ] So this is a bit ahead of schedule, I guess.

[reconnective]

It'll be before you know it. [but there's a sheepish grin.] I don't think anybody expected this sort of thing either. But it just means when we meet again we can skip all of the questions and stuff and just hang out.

[kairi can grill the boys, but he does not say so.]

You'll like the island. I've got some people I want to show, too.

[ghoststrums]

You've still got Taichi to interrogate.

[ selfcest time. but he nods ]

The people you befriended in the Realm, right? [ makes sense to him. ] Odaiba's technically an island, but I've never been to a tropical one. It'll be interesting.

[reconnective]

Yeah, that's true. Maybe I'll make a list of questions for him whenever I meet him.

[leave me alone.]

But yeah, them. There's a lot of them I wouldn't mind seeing again, but Lup and Clementine still have to come visit whenever they can. As long as you don't mind the sun and a bunch of sand you won't have a problem.
