Spring is in the air, or at least it is here. Regardless of where you may have been before, you'll hear the the sound of jaunty music playing ahead of you as you step into the sun.

Everywhere around you seems to brighten and reach out to you, the sight of large, colorful structures and flashing lights, the sound of playful music and people laughing, the scent of delicious sweet and savory treats and the sudden weight in your pocket of a cell phone. Opening it, you'll find a special message:

For those of you who are more hands on, the world is your oyster and the park is your playground. The lines to wait for the rides are fairly short, and all around you there's plenty of shops and kiosks for food, drinks, and souvenears. Didn't bring any money? That's alright. It seems that everything is free for today and today only! (And yes, that includes the alcohol at various establishments.)

Unlike the Christmas party some of you may have attended last winter, it seems there isn't any sort of pranking or tomfoolery happening in the park today. There are several lands to explore, along with several other parks and attractions attached. You may not have to kiss someone in order to leave...

...but it does seem as though the gates are locked for the next several hours. On occasion, you may feel a pair of ghostly hands push you forward toward that ride you're hesitating to board or tempting you with a sugary-sweet churro. You may find that taking a loop on It's a Small World will leave the song stuck in your head for several hours while riding something like Space Mountain will leave you feeling more bold than usual. Perhaps a little bit of faith, trust and pixie dust will set you free? Oh well. All you can do now is relax, have fun, and wait for the fireworks spectacular to signal the end of the evening.

Well, I see humans have now made their own horrendous realm to partake in their materialistic and fickle ways. As if malls weren't enough already.

[Actually... that doesn't sound like a child at all? And upon closer inspection, that's probably a young man who unfortunately can't be any taller than five foot. Sucks to be him.

There are a pair of ears which might be hard to see on his head because of the poof of black hair. Whoever got these on him may be dead now.]

anyway while hiei is muttering to himself, a large raven flies over his head and plucks the ears off of his head. ]

[Despite his entire schtick being how damn fast his speed is, I’m nerfing him so he can’t just grab the raven in the air.

He looks a bit surprised in the face, but doesn’t get startled. HELLO, his ears?!]

But he follows after it instead tch. He fazes out of eyesight for a moment when he jumps, moving so fast. He can’t fly, but he can control his energy to somewhat slow his descent as he leaps from lamp to lamp.]

anyway this bird is completely fucking fearless so when he starts grousing at him, the bird - croaks this noise that sounds like it's laughing? and wriggles the ears in its beak. come at me scrublord, the bird seems to be saying.

anyway it immediately takes off, really very thrilled by making this small person jump from lamppost to lamppost. the raven is quick, though not nearly as quick as hiei, but it does seem frustratingly capable of dodging just out of the reach of his lil hands, barrel rolling over to an area where there's no lampposts and wriggling the ears again. ]

It’s clear he is getting kind of annoyed being strung along. He is very much a go all in, all powerful and get things over with kind of dude. Which doesn’t say much for whatever his future (hypothetically) adult sex life would be, help.

He stands grumpily on the last lamp post, glaring at the raven. For a second, it looks like he moves, similar to how he blurs and vanishes before. But no, he is still on the post.

Unless…?

A familiar shadow washes over the bird about the same time a hand very suddenly snatches the ears away from behind. If the raven doesn’t let go, he simply lifts it up with the ears, too.]

Got you. Drop the charade, birdie. You smell like the Spirit World.

unfortunate thoughts about future sex lives aside, the bird does not let go immediately, so it is dangling from the ears, making direct eye contact with this speedy little man for a prolonged period of time....

... and then rather suddenly, there's a puff of black feathers as they are hovering nicely over the haunted mansion area, and the snickering bird turns into a snickering half elf with black raven wings instead, who is much taller and heavier than a tiny bird, and still holding onto the ears. ]

It's hilarious how instantaneously he lets go of the ears (even though he really knows they are HIS) so he can take two steps back and away, or stand on top of literally anywhere else not so close. His brain really said it's valuing personal space over his prize here. Goodbye.]

I could smell your stench from a mile away without trying. [He does not go around SMELLING people.] Return those. The girl they belong to will cry if you break them, and I don't want to listen to it.
