Jingle Mingle...2

Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

[ah. well! well. sora mulls over that himself, keeping his mouth hidden in his mug so yamato can't see him frowning.]

We all do. [he will admit that much.] There's still stuff we have to do, but I think the three of us...["I don't know. There's...something else that happened. But I don't know what it means. I don't think I'm dead if I'm still in one piece, and that guy in the coat that showed up in the Realm said my heart is in the same place as his. Wherever that is. And I know you and Kairi are looking. But I want to go home."]

Someday everything will finally be over for long enough that we can stay together.

[ghoststrums]

I hope so. [ he stops himself with a frown and shakes his head-- ] No, I know you will. If you and Kairi are anything like he said, and the way I know Riku... You guys won't stop until that's true.

[reconnective]

We won't. We never have. [it's the only thing he's still clinging to, really.] Riku and I didn't come home for a year, so Kairi left the island by herself to come find us. It's kind of always been that way.

[chasing each other to find each other to lose each other all over again. rinse and repeat.]

How much did he tell you about Kairi?

[ghoststrums]

... Not as much as he did about you. Since you and Taichi are similar enough, it came up a lot more. I know she's just as much your friend, though.

[reconnective]

[there's a very enthusiastic nod. he's going to wonder about taichi forever, it's fine.]

Yeah, she is. She came to our island from another world when we were really little. I think that's another reason why Riku was so focused on taking our raft and leaving the island to look for other worlds. She's a Keyblade wielder now, too. She's been training and she's helped us out a lot, but...she's kind of always been the one to keep us together no matter what. Even when Riku and I weren't getting along or we didn't recognize each other.

[another pointed sip.] She'd probably like you, too, as long as she knew you cared about him.

[ghoststrums]

[ suffer the mystery of selfcest, sora. yamato smiles at the description, a little-- curious (like an odd mix of their sora and hikari, maybe?) but he doesn't comment on that otherwise.

because sora says that and he laughs to pretend he isn't pleased and flustered both ]

That's good. I... Riku probably wouldn't keep dating me if you guys didn't like me.

[ call out ]

[reconnective]

You think? [spoken like a truly dumb bitch who doesn't always entirely understand how much his friends love him and care about his opinion.] I dunno, sometimes Riku just does things his own way no matter what.

[it's kind of a joke, but...then he grows a little more serious.]

He's really important to both of us. So as long as he's happy and safe with you then...that's what matters most.

[ghoststrums]

[ geez he is not great at this kind of talk and is clearly only getting more flustered. save him ]

He... We haven't been dating that long, but I hope he is.

[reconnective]

[cackles. that's from me, not sora. sora finds it a little endearing even if he literally was in the same position not that long ago.]

He told me about you. That definitely means something. [...and then, teasing:] So you better take good care of him when I can't, okay?

[ghoststrums]

[ there's a bit of a raised eyebrow before yamato gets control back of flustering by

dunking on his boyfriend(s) ]

He doesn't make it easy, but Taichi's got me used to babysitting anyway.

[reconnective]

[there's a snort of amusement.]

Come on. It can't be that bad. [please dunk on your boyfriends and tell him all about it.]

[ghoststrums]

I can't leave them alone for five seconds or they get in trouble. [ he will not expand on what kind of trouble, but he will DUNK ]

[reconnective]

Sounds like a handful. [he says, like he isn't the same brand of stupid.] And let me guess, they both deny that they're troublemakers?

[he's shaking his head. for shame. for shame.]

[ghoststrums]

Riku would try and say we were the ones getting in trouble all the time, like he wasn't held hostage by the school. [ grumbles grumbles ] And Taichi's...

[reconnective]

I dunno. Both of those could be true. [are you secretly trouble, yamato? are you?] Guess it's still worth it even with all of that.

[ghoststrums]

I don't get in trouble, I drag people out of it. [ lies. but he sips his drink to hide a smile at that; ] ... But yeah. I guess they're worth it.

[reconnective]

Uh huh. [sounds like something riku would say and therefore he thinks it's bullshit. but...hm. good to know.] You guess.

[ghoststrums]

They do have to compete with how big of a headache they are. It's a close call.

[ BLATANT LIES ]

[reconnective]

Sounds tragic. [THEY ARE TRULY THE SAME. which is why sora grins a little.]

The easiest way to get Riku to behave is compliment him and say something nice about him. Throws him off every time and he stops being a bully. [don't be mean to riku.]

[ghoststrums]

[ yamato laughs softly at the call out ]

Yeah, I've noticed. [ like he doesn't get flustered at compliments. it's fine. no one can tell ] He's bad at any kind of affection, really. It's kind of cute. [ ... ] It's mostly funny, though.

[reconnective]

Yeah, it is. [he doesn't clarify which he means, but he seems pleased by yamato's assessment.] He usually says he leaves the sappy stuff to me and Kairi, but he's full of it.

[ghoststrums]

He tried to say the same to me. [ what a loser. ] But you're right. He's plenty sappy on his own.

[reconnective]

He'll get better eventually. [haha. but he gives him another questioning look.] How did...the three of you decide?

[ghoststrums]

... Uh, well... Taichi and I were already together when Riku told me he liked us both. So we talked about it all three of us after that.

[ he generously does not mention the rest of that awkwardness ]

[reconnective]

[he ponders this, sipping his hot cocoa and buying his time. maybe making yamato sweat a little. maybe thinking some things over.]
