Some of you may be used to this by now. For some of you, this may be your very first time being swept away in a flurry of snowflakes. (Though some of you may have been particularly naughty and were shoved into a burlap sack before disappearing into the storm.) As usual, it seems as though the time for bloodshed has passed and when you open your eyes you're greeted with...

...a ski lodge.

Worry not! This isn't the lodge Krampus had taken residence in but it's a rather large and cozy getaway. You may even find that your clothes have changed into something holiday-appropriate for the occasion. It seems as though someone has gone around decking the halls with boughs of holly, lights strewn along the walls, Christmas trees in large corners, and plenty of food and drink to go around. (Yes, this includes alcohol. Please do try to be responsible though, hm?)

Similarly, some of you may recognize the frosty patterns that lightly dust the walls and surfaces and the usual staff and their assistants are back in action. Should you require anything, you may ask one of them and they'll be at your service!

The lodge has plenty of rooms filled with furniture, fireplaces, games and more. And for those of you feeling a little more adventurous, you may venture outdoors. To the left there's a sprawling garden with gazebos, firepits, flowers and lit topiary displays. To the right, you may follow the path down to a hot spring. And straight ahead? There's the path leading you right to a rental shack holding skis, snowboards and snow mobiles.

This almost seems...quaint, doesn't it? And perhaps it's a little too easy, but you should know by now everything comes with a price.

Sprigs of mistletoe are pinned up in every doorway once again, bright red bows and dustings of frost lingering around them. Don't try to escape to the outdoors to avoid it! Ice sculptures appear in every direction each decorated with the mystical plant. You could try to avoid it, really, but avoiding it too long will earn a chilly breath of air directly in your ear as you're pushed straight into the nearest person. Wouldn't you rather choose on your own?

Well! The choice is yours, and you might want to make it fast. There's no way out without paying the kiss tax, after all.

roxis himself can be found in the gardens, probably, with or without vosgetel, but honestly just run into him anywhere. he doesn't actually know to dodge the mistletoe but it's fine, because he has no idea what it means anyway. though the fact that other people are trying to avoid them is probably not a great sign. ]

[ well you get a baby then! xie lian is here in his usual robes, though it looks like he's been supplemented with a warm, fur collared cloak. ruoye spots polaris first and comes barreling over, delighted for the chance to reunite with his friend, and does a series of happy little ferret hops.

xie lian comes behind him, glancing kaeya over, and his expression is - well, fond, if he's a little teasingly chiding. ]

SO HERE HE IS!! He's right at home out here in the snow--he'll build snowmen, have a snowball fight, go skiing... he doesn't know what snowmobiles are, but he's more than happy to learn. LET'S BE ADVENTUROUS. Nothing says holiday spirit like near-death experiences, right? right.

Does he know what mistletoe is? Who knows. Probably not, but it'll only take a little observing to figure it out, so whatever. He thinks it's funny.

You can also catch him wandering around with a drink! This is the free-for-all option. If he recognizes you from 7r, he'll probably greet you with a "Good to see you again, comrade!" or something similar; if he doesn't, he'll probably still smile and offer a friendly wave. tanhua is not immediately visible, and both hua chengs came from about the same time period (with some shenanigans between), so it's not as if it's easy to visually distinguish one from the other. is this a watcher, or another participant? pick one. he's about to be in three games come next summer so i already know what i'm about, and that's a lot of fafa.

regardless, here he is. being a showoff. he's sculpting some snow and ice sculptures that are, frankly, insane and realistic. if you ask nicely, maybe he'll do one for you? so long as you don't touch the one that looks like xie lian at his most resplendent, because otherwise he might kill you off schedule. ]

[ chang geng is boring. at the moment, he's fairly comfortable in the lodge - now that he's reassured himself that it's not the horribly familiar one he spent time in last winter - and drinking some mulled wine by the fire, having acquired some random books from the lodge itself to sit and read.

he apparently has no interest in going outside, but could probably be cajoled into it by the right person and approach. as-is, he died out in the cold last time he was at a lodge. he'll pass on experiencing that again. ]

As usual, Revali stands out because he's a bird, and he's accompanied by a more normal bird -- a black pheasant who stays perched on top of a pretty large bow. So far, nothing too unexpected.

The other reason why he stands out is that he's currently dressed with a tacky Christmas sweater, very red and green and festive and absolutely dreadful. Little bells on his pants, and a red Santa Claus hat. He hates it all. He doesn't even know what's Christmas, what did he do to deserve this.

Perhaps you'll see him taking off the hat and just throwing it to the floor, annoyed]

I will tolerate getting dragged without warning into other worlds for little to no reason, but can this all stop dressing me with ridiculous costumes every single time?!
